Disturbances

I've done nothing else these three days except meetings and entertaining students / salesmen. Haha. Thats why I dont like staying in my office room. I couldnt even get to write even a single sentence. What more, I've to mark exam scripts by this weekend. Grade due next week. This week will definitely burn with admin and teaching stuffs.

Back to Work

This is my first day entering my office room after two weeks holiday. Miss the smell. Hehe..

I am planning to submit research proposal for FRGS. Should it be a continuation research of accounting outsourcing or e-commerce trust? Will be seeing Dr Hapiza from UiTM tomorrow, my ex-school classmate...she may suggest some ideas for the FRGS. 

Need to finalise the knowledge gap article and Tegar case today before starting on new paper on Offshore Accounting Outsourcing in Malaysia.

Publish!

Time is now 1.42am. I am working.. hehe.. well this is the only time I can concentrate in my writing. I'm done with article in knowledge gap and will send to Journal of Knowledge Management soon.

First day of PTK 6 is not bad. Interesting to know that the only thing that matter in academic world is publish, publish and publish!! Wonder, how can she, one of the profs in UKM, publish 54 journal articles a year.. pergh!

PTK 6

Almost done with the knowledge gap paper. Only left with conclusion and references part. Hope to get it done by tonite. I'll be tied up with PTK6 next week and may not have time to write any paper. Sad.

Garage Sales

We will be moving to our new house soon! From an intermediate to a corner lot. From a 5 min drive to UKM to a place that will take at least 20-30 mins drive. From a very convenient, full of amenities - schools, clinics, shops, good restaurants to a quite, silent & salient place.I'm not sure whether buying that house and moving to such place is good. But for sure, I love the place. A place full of memories. A place that make me feel closer to my past - the memories of my dear dad n mom. A place where he always want me to be. I remembered, long ago, when I just started working, he asked me to buy a banglow lot at Saujana Impian. I resisted. I told him that I dont want to stay around there. He looked upset. The truth is I didnt have enough money to buy one! :(

Somehow, today, I managed to get myself a land for a bangalow but not in Saujana Impian, though. Just to overcome these guilty feelings, I bought that corner lot... *sigh*

So... I am going to sale some of my stuff before moving out by all means - a garage sale in front of my house, e-bay and this blog! Dont worry.. its going to be cheap! very cheap!

Knowledge Gap

Currently writing on Knowledge Gap between Onshore and Offshore Teams. Trying to relate with Connon-Bowers ideas on shared team model. Hard but possible. Hope to get it done by end of this week.. phewwww.

Btw, now I need to submit grades for AIS students, key in progress grades for my supervisees..later tonite, I have to start producing invoices again. Eheh!

Somehow, the smells of durians from Pontian is getting stronger. Feel like going to Pontian this weekend. Adoi la..

Cases got Published!

I woke up this morning with a good feeling. Finally a case on ATAREK will be published in Asian Case Research Journal as in June 2010 issues. It is an ISI journal. Who said you cannot get ISI publication from a case?


My other case on 'Depro Tech' will be published in Asian Journal Case Research, a SCOPUS journal by this month too.

My other two cases 'DELIMA' and 'PCI Sdn Bhd' which were written under MIA & MOHE programme had been published in Intergrated Case Studies Book last month.

More to come.. two more cases under final revision - TEGAR and SAP Petronas will be targeted for ISI journals.

Worth it, right?

Am I on leave?

I'm still on leave, yet still working. Crazy. I should just shut down this pc and sleep. How can I? My mind is still actively thinking about paper on 'Control and Relational Risks in Offshore Accounting Outsourcing'. I need to review and update the paper before resubmit to another journal. The paper was rejected from one of the first tier journal. Although I was very frustrated, it was still a bless. We got good comments from reviewers. I am not giving up. Will respond to the reviewers comments and send to another journal. We know that we have good issues and the paper should be published in the first tier journal. Good luck to me??

Fresh

A week holiday - done! Been to Cherating, Pulau Kapas, JB, Melaka. Now, I have fresh mind to start writing again. I've done my ISJ paper and sent to Brian for review. Next, I'm going to work on

1. Thesis to book
2. qualitative research methodology paper for IFIP
3. finalise Tegar case
4. IFIP 2008 paper for LRP

I just bought a new honda accord car. An elegant and smart car. Love it so much. Now that I've add more liability and need to think more to get extra money. How to get more? My only alternative is my husband's catering business. But that is his business. I always dream of starting my own business but dont really have a good plan for that. Maybe a training or consultantcy work? Online shopping mall? When and how to start that? ergh..

Btw, I have to drive traffic to this site.. heee

ISJ

I dont think I can finish the paper for ISJ this week. Out of sudden, there are papers coming in for urgent revision and need to submit at the soonest so that it can be published by next month! Plus, the proposal of thesis written by my two master students need to be reviewed as well. At the soonest too. On thurs, friday and saturday, I will be attending the Train of trainers for MIA case study. Oh my, I have to present two cases, thus require more preparation time. In conclusion, I will never get the ISJ paper ready by end of this week.

Next week, I'll be going awayyyyyy.. holiday at Pulau Kapas. Err, how can I rest if the ISJ paper is far from its completion. *sigh*

Somehow, I'm still looking forward to the holiday.
