Case Study Collaboration

As I mentioned before, I am quite obsessed with writing case study now. Today will be a meeting with MPC to discuss further collaboration in writing case study. They have the resources, contacts etc.. and we at UKM have the writing skills. Why not collaborate, right?

Full of hope

We have finished review the book draft and will send to the publisher again for final printing. Hopefully, will get it publish next month.

I'm going to finish the outsourcing turnback paper tonite so that I can focus on case study book. The book will be a compilation of teaching cases for accounting integrated case study course. So far, the case authors have given full commitment and hopefully they are motivated to get it finish and publish it out at the soonest. Another book in the next two month!

Life is full of hope and to get things done, I have to deal with people. So far so good!

Too much

I'm still working on the e-government paper, repairing the accounting outsourcing turnback paper for journal submission and finalising two cases for Integrated Case Study. Ops.. also a book on accounting outsourcing to be reviewed for typesetting approval. Phewwwwwwwww...

Forgetful

I lost my car key. Misplaced maybe. I forgot where I put the key and couldnt find it till today. I feel really old now. Forgetful and dizzy.

Paper on E-government

My target this week is to finish up my writing on e-government evaluation in Malaysia public sector with a focus on e-procurement system. I've been working on this paper since last year under GUP research budget. On and off. It has been too long now and I am not going to delay it anymore. I have to get it done by this week, send to conference and present it at the soonest. This is the most difficult paper I've encountered so far. Maybe because the Theoretical Framework (TF) that I draw on for conceptualising the ideas is not strong. The only way to make it work is to have new TF. Hmm.. the problem is .. do I really want to start all over again? New TF means rewrite the paper!

MIA Intergrated Case Study Workshop

I am quite obsessed with writing cases for teaching now. I am committing myself to the second round MIA-ICS case writing session. The first round produced nine case studies of which two of them were written by me. The cases were published in MIA case book and will be launched in June 2010. Hopefully, the second round will bring another ten cases and publishable as well. According to Pn Wan Norehan, the publication will be in August 2010.

So, I am drafting my case on SAP implementation to be presented in MIA-ICS workshop on 23-25 April in Port Dickson. See you there!

Anger

I was talking to a friend just now about her uncontrollable anger. Pity her, she feels that she is too good that she can be angry at anyone without thinking about the other person's feeling. I feel bad, doesnt she?

what if while scolding someone, she got heart attack?

Working Hard

Its kind of difficult when you are sitting in front of overloaded table. A table full with unfinished paperworks that need to be due by end of the month, plus tons of students project paper that need to be marked. Plus, lists of companies that need to be contacted for case studies... plus etc etc.

Sometimes, I just wonder, how people reach the top easily. What are they? Bionic Women or Super WOMEN? or its just their luck? Well, I dont believe in luck! You have to work hard not only for living but for living comfortably.

I am working hard now. The hardest it can be.

I always want to have my own space to jot down my own feelings and grumbles about everything I see, think and do.

One statement from a radio that struck me this morning is this:

To be successful, you have to spend 1/3 of your time thinking strategically, 1/3 of your time doing or implementing and the other 1/3 of your time developing people around you.

So, strategically, why not start thinking now, do it soonest possible and pass your knowledge to others!
